Neil Patrick Harris now a father of twins

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. television actor Neil Patrick Harris announced via Twitter that he and his partner David Burtka have become fathers to twins -- a boy and a girl.

"All of us are happy, healthy, tired, and a little pukey," the "How I Met Your Mother" star tweeted Friday about the Oct. 12 birth of Gideon Scott and Harper Grace.

Harris announced in August that he and Burtka expected to become parents.

People.com said the children were born with the help of a surrogate.
