ASPEN, Colo., June 7 (UPI) -- A Colorado judge postponed television star Charlie Sheen's Monday plea hearing until July, RadarOnline.com reported.

The actor was expected to plead no contest to a single misdemeanor assault charge in an alleged incident involving Brooke Mueller, his wife and the mother of their twin toddler sons.

Mueller has accused the "Two and a Half Men" star of assaulting her and threatening her last December.

"They need time to re-work the final points of the plea deal," the Web site quoted District Attorney Arnold Mordkin as saying in an Aspen court Monday.

The plea hearing was rescheduled for July 12.
