LOS ANGELES, May 25 (UPI) -- Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough were declared the winners on "Dancing with the Stars" in Los Angeles Tuesday.

The Pussycat Dolls star and Hough beat out finalists Erin Andrews and Evan Lysacek and their professional dance partners for the coveted mirrorball trophy.

Scherzinger screamed, jumped up and down, and blew kisses at the audience upon learning her fate.

"We don't take anything for granted," Hough said. "Everybody's been amazing and I'm so happy."
