Anderson, Aldrin to compete on 'DWTS'

LOS ANGELES, March 1 (UPI) -- Actress Pamela Anderson and astronaut Buzz Aldrin will be among the competitors on the 10th season of the U.S. TV series "Dancing with the Stars," ABC said.

Also set to battle it out for the coveted mirrorball trophy are actress Shannen Doherty, pro football player Chad Ochocinco, soap star Aiden Turner, ESPN journalist Erin Andrews, actress Niecy Nash, singer Nicole Scherzinger, Olympian Evan Lysacek and reality TV personality Kate Gosselin.

The names of the competitors were announced Monday night during the season finale of "The Bachelor." Jake Pavelka, the star of "The Bachelor," was later announced separately as the final incoming "Dancing" contestant.

The new season of "Dancing" is set to begin March 22 on ABC.
