Kevin James named Kids' Choice Awards host

NEW YORK, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Comedian and actor Kevin James has been tapped to serve as host of Nickelodeon's 23rd annual Kids' Choice Awards show in Los Angeles next month.

James is best known for his work in the hit films "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" and "Hitch," as well as on the long-running TV comedy "The King of Queens."

"In short, I guess you could say hosting the Kids' Choice Awards completes me," People.com quoted James as saying Monday.

The 2010 Kids' Choice Awards show is scheduled for March 27.
