ASPEN, Colo., Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Brooke Mueller told Aspen, Colo., police her husband, actor Charlie Sheen, held her at knifepoint and threatened her, an affidavit released Monday said.

Sheen was arrested Friday after Mueller, the mother of his infant twin sons, called 911 and said he assaulted and threatened her. The "Two and a Half Men" actor was released on bail later in the day and prosecutors said they will announce whether they will file charges against the star at his next court date Feb. 8. TMZ has reported Mueller was legally drunk when she made the 911 call and has recanted parts of her story to police.

People.com quoted one officer as saying in the affidavit he did not notice "any obvious injuries" to Mueller when he and other police responded to the 911 call but another officer said he later saw red marks on her neck.

Sheen told police he and his wife, who had been having marital problems, argued Friday when she grew jealous after he "shared a song for his daughter whom he fathered with another woman," then threatened to divorce him and take their children, the affidavit said. The actor admitted he and his wife hit each other on the arm and said he snatched and broke her eyeglasses, People.com said.

Sheen denied striking his wife or threatening her with a knife. Mueller reportedly told police Sheen grabbed her by the throat, straddled her on their bed and pointed the blade at her when she said she wanted a divorce.

"'You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I'll kill you,'" Mueller alleged Sheen told her.
