Mother said Josh Powell threatened her


LOS ANGELES, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Hip-hop star and actor LL Cool J has signed on to serve as host of next month's "Grammy Nominations Concert Live!" in Los Angeles, CBS announced.
This is the second year in a row LL Cool J will preside over the festivities.
The 2009 event is to take place Dec. 2 at Club NOKIA. It is to air live on CBS as a one-hour program.
The Black Eyed Peas, Sugarland and Maxwell have already been booked to perform on the show.
The 52nd annual Grammy Awards are to be handed out at a ceremony Jan. 31 at the STAPLES Center. It is also slated to air on live on CBS.
