'Scrubs,' 'Ted' get spots on ABC lineup

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- The hit U.S. comedy series "Scrubs" is to return for its ninth season this December, ABC said Friday.

New episodes of the hospital-set sit-com, starring Zach Braff, Donald Faison, John C. McGinley and Sarah Chalke, are to begin airing Dec. 1.

The network also said its office comedy "Better Off Ted," starring Jay Harrington and Portia de Rossi, is to start its second season Dec. 8.
