May 10 (UPI) -- Calvin Harris will collaborate with Katy Perry on his star-studded new album.
The 33-year-old British DJ announced Tuesday on Instagram that he will release the album Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1 featuring Perry, Ariana Grande, John Legend and other artists in June.
"ALBUM COMING JUNE 30," he captioned a video featuring a list of collaborators.
Fans immediately commented on Harris working with Perry, who has a fraught history with the DJ's ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. Perry told Entertainment Weekly this week that she won't be responding to Swift's song "Bad Blood" on her own new album.
"I think [my new album is] a very empowered record," the 32-year-old singer said. "There is no one thing that's calling out any one person."
"Honestly, when women come together and they decide to unite, this world is going to be a better place. Period end of story," she added.
Harris, who split from Swift in June after more than a year of dating, last released the album Motion in 2014. The record debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200, and includes the singles "Under Control" and "Summer."
