Report: Brand and Perry get engaged

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- British comedian Russell Brand proposed to U.S. pop star Katy Perry in India last week and she accepted, sources told Usmagazine.com.

The couple, who have been dating since September, reportedly got engaged while on a vacation Brand planned as a surprise for his girlfriend.

No other details about the forthcoming wedding were disclosed.
