'The Fate of the Furious' tops the North American box office with $100.2M

April 16 (UPI) -- The Fate of the Furious, the high-octane, action picture starring Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson, is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $100.2 million in receipts this weekend, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 with $15.5 million is The Boss Baby, followed by Beauty and the Beast at No. 3 with $13.6 million, Smurfs: The Lost Village at No. 4 with $6.5 million and Going in Style at No. 5 with $6.4 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Gifted at No. 6 with $3 million, Get Out at No. 7 with $2.92 million, Power Rangers at No. 8 with $2.85 million, The Case for Christ at No. 9 with $2.7 million and Kong: Skull Island at No. 10 with $2.67 million.
