Anna Kendrick, Zac Efron to co-star in 'Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates'

LOS ANGELES, April 3 (UPI) -- Anna Kendrick will join Zac Efron in the 20th Century Fox comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates.

The film will tell the story of two brothers who place an online ad to find dates for a wedding and have to deal with the repercussions of it going viral. According to Variety, Jake Szymanski will direct.

Efron and Adam DeVine will star as Mike and Dave respectively. The film is slated for a July 2016 release.

Kendrick -- best known for her roles in Up In The Air and Pitch Perfect -- is currently shooting The Accountant with Ben Affleck in Atlanta.

Efron last starred in the 2014 comedy Neighbors.
