Spanish actress Sara Montiel dies in Madrid at 85

MADRID, April 8 (UPI) -- Spanish singer and film star Sara Montiel died Monday in her home in Madrid, her representatives said. She was 85.

The Huffington Post said the cause of her death has not yet been disclosed.

Born Maria Antonia Abad Fernandez, Montiel appeared in movies in Hollywood, Mexico and her native Spain, before retiring from the cinema in 1974.

Among her credits are "The Last Torch Song," "The Devil Made a Woman," "Circle of Death," "That Man From Tangier," "The Mad Queen" and "Don Quixote."
