The CD's title track celebrates diversity and is supportive of various kinds of people, including homosexuals. Another song on the album is called "Judas," which features the line, "I'm just a holy fool, but I'm still in love with Judas."
The Guardian said Lebanon's office of general security declared the record offensive to Christianity at the request of Lebanon's Catholic Information Center. The move prompted police to confiscate copies of the album as they arrived at Beirut International Airport last week.
"If they are going to offend us we are going to cancel the album," the newspaper quoted the Rev. Abdo Abu Kassm, director of the center, as saying. "We will not accept that anyone insult the Virgin Mary or Jesus or Christianity ... Call us traditional, call us backward, call us whatever you want. We will not accept it."
