LONDON, Sept. 20 (UPI) -- Sarah Jessica Parker, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Stella McCartney were among the mourners at a London memorial service for Alexander McQueen.

Monday's service was held at St. Paul's Cathedral during London Fashion Week, the BBC said.

Also in attendance were Vogue editor Anna Wintour and singer Bjork.

People.com said about 1,000 people turned out to pay their respects to McQueen, a popular British fashion designer who took a mix of cocaine, tranquilizers and sleeping pills before he hanged himself last February.
