"I have a lot of big surprises in store so bring on the slime!" he continued referencing the event's signature green liquid that guests have poured onto them.

The show where "kids' votes matter" is set to air live from Los Angeles March 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and feature "kids' favorites from across the worlds of film, television, music, pop culture, animation and more."

Cena is the latest celebrity to headline the show following in the footsteps of last year's host Blake Shelton.

"John Cena's energy and larger-than-life personality will bring the most excitement, comedy and fun to this year's Kids' Choice Awards," added senior vice president, talent and events for Nickelodeon Shelly Sumpter Gillyard. "He's a big kid at heart, and we can't wait to give kids around the world a front row seat to this year's show."
