LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Milo Ventimiglia told Collider there was no question when it came to reprising his role as Jess Mariano in Netflix's upcoming Gilmore Girls revival.

"So [Amy Sherman-Palladino] called and said they were doing it and I said, 'Great! I don't know where I'm going to be, but let me know and we'll work it out. Of course I'll be there!"

Ventimiglia also said he was happy with where Jess is in life when Gilmore Girls picks back up.

"I was happy with where [the writers] placed him, in relation to everyone else," he said. "Jess' purpose to being in these new four episodes, I was really happy about it."

Alexis Bledel said Rory will have "closure" with all of her love interests -- including Jess -- in the new episodes.
