LOS ANGELES, May 16 (UPI) -- NBC released a first trailer for This is Us with Mandy Moore on Sunday.

The preview gives a glimpse into the lives of five interconnected people who were born on the same day. Milo Ventimiglia, Sterling K. Brown, Justin Hartley and Chrissy Metz also star.

Moore and Ventimiglia play Rebecca and Jack, a couple expecting triplets. Brown portrays Randall, a man who finds his long-lost father (Ron Cephas Jones), with Hartley as Kevin, a discontented actor, and Metz as Kate, a woman struggling with her weight.

NBC ordered This is Us to series last week. Sources told Variety the show is "beautiful," with insiders saying the pilot was "one of the most buzzed about through the screening process."

Crazy, Stupid, Love writer Dan Fogelman created and will executive produce the series, which is slated to premiere in the fall. Crazy, Stupid, Love directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa will co-executive produce.

"Couldn't be more excited about this! Thanks @nbc!" Moore tweeted of the series. "All the feels. Check us out Tuesdays this fall. #thisisus."
