Martha Stewart asks Twitter for help identifying Jonathan Cheban

CANNES, France, June 23 (UPI) -- Martha Stewart took to Twitter on Wednesday for help identifying Kardashian hanger-on Jonathan Cheban who was seated next to her on The Daily Mail's Seriously Popular dinner cruise in Cannes.

"#Seriouslypopular @DailyMail @MailOnline do you know this guy?? He says he is well known," the lifestyle queen tweeted to her followers along with a picture of Cheban's face.

Cheban, most widely known for his appearances as Kim's BFF on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, tweeted about Martha himself, but didn't need to ask who she was.

"Fun dinner with the best!! @MarthaStewart she's been keeping me laughing for hours!" he tweeted.

Martha later clarified that she wasn't being catty, she genuinely didn't know who Cheban was.

Cheban, though, took to Twitter today hinting that it was all a ruse.

"Lol the experiment worked.. Some people are so gullible and predictable! Fun dinner with Martha"
