CYPRESS, Calif., June 2 (UPI) -- Vans has partnered with Nintendo to introduce a new line of footwear and apparel featuring the gaming company's iconic characters and home consoles. The new line entitled Vans x Nintendo, is set to launch on June 3 and will include t-shirts, tanks, backpacks, socks, hats and a variety of colorful footwear.

"Gamers, it's time to power up as Vans and Nintendo, the ultimate two-player partnership, unveil an extensive collection of footwear, apparel and accessories celebrating the early days of video games," Vans noted in a press release.
Notable footwear options include Vans' Sk8-H hightop sneakers featuring the first released Nintendo console the NES, the brand's signature Slip-On's featuring graphics and quotes from The Legend of Zelda, and a low-top option for women featuring Princess Peach.
Other options will include shoes with Super Mario Bros., Duck Hunt and Donkey Kong inspired prints.
Vans' crossover with Nintendo comes after the shoemaker partnered with Star Wars, The Beatles and Disney to release apparel.
