Karlie Kloss and Adriana Lima shine in Cannes

CANNES, France, May 18 (UPI) -- Karlie Kloss and Adrianna Lima shone on the red carpet Tuesday in Cannes.

The models attended the premiere of Julieta at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival, where the movie is competing for the Palme d'Or.

Kloss, 23, wore a custom Louis Vuitton dress covered in silver and gold sequins and accessorized with diamond earrings. Lima, 34, chose a silk Prada gown with beaded detail and paired her look with emerald earrings.

Izabel Goulart, Petra Nemcova and Lara Stone were among the other models at the premiere. Kloss and Lima are both expected to attend the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala on Thursday.

Kloss and Lima have modeled together for Victoria's Secret, Elle and Vogue. Kloss left Victoria's Secret last year after four years as an Angel, while Lima has modeled for the lingerie company since 1999.

"I don't want to be too clean cut, and I don't want to be what people think I should be or expect me to be," Kloss told Elle U.K. after her departure. "I didn't necessarily feel like I was being entirely true to myself being in my underwear all the time."

Kloss has since started her own YouTube channel, Klossy, where she uploads vlogs, or video blogs. Lima landed campaigns with Vogue Eyewear and Marc Jacobs fragrance last year and is also mom to two daughters, Valentina and Sienna.

Julieta premiered to largely positive reviews and will open in the U.K. in August. The movie stars Emma Suarez and Adriana Ugarte as older and younger versions of a widow searching for her runaway daughter.
