NEW YORK, April 6 (UPI) -- Gwyneth Paltrow keeps an open mind when it comes to beauty treatments.

The 43-year-old actress revealed she's tried apitherapy, or being stung by bees, while detailing her various beauty regimens in an interview with the New York Times.

"Generally, I'm open to anything," Paltrow said. "I've been stung by bees. It's a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy. People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It's actually pretty incredible if you research it. But man, it's painful."

"I'm always the guinea pig to try everything. I've got to try them all. I love acupuncture," she previously explained. "I haven't done cryotherapy yet, but I do want to try that."

Paltrow shared her love for "serums and face oils and body oils," including Tammy Fender body oil, and recommended Tata Harper and RMS cosmetics. The actress said she "generally" doesn't wear much makeup, "just mascara and a little cheek."

"I don't use bronzer," she revealed. "[My 11-year-old daughter Apple] loves experimenting. I obviously don't let her out of the house with a full face. But I think she's going to be way more into beauty than I am."

Paltrow launched her own beauty line in collaboration with Juice Beauty in January. The collection includes dozens of face, eye and lip products made of organic ingredients, including berries, flowers, fruits and vegetables.

"Karen [Behnke], who's the founder of Juice ... [and I] both had strong feelings about having incredibly high-performing, beautiful makeup that was also nontoxic," the actress said at the time.

Paltrow also continues to oversee her lifestyle site, Goop, which launched in 2008. She last appeared in Mortdecai with Johnny Depp and will next star in Captain America: Civil War with Chris Evans and Robert Downey, Jr.
