Kailyn Lowry says she did not get butt implants

DOVER, Del., Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry reportedly had plastic surgery over the weekend.

The 23-year-old reality star denied getting butt implants Wednesday on Twitter, but did have a Brazilian butt lift and a tummy tuck, according to Dr. Michael Salzhauer.

Salzhauer, aka Dr. Miami, told People magazine Lowry had the procedures Sunday in Miami, Fla. The surgeon said Lowry wanted "to look great" for her husband, Javi Marroquin, and defended the star's decision to have plastic surgery.

"People look at women in their early 20s having plastic surgery and they say, 'Oh, they're too young for that,' but really that's not true, it's not about age," Salzhauer explained. "It's about what has your body been through and what can we do to improve it."

Reports about Lowry's surgeries surfaced after Salzhauer shared photos from the procedure on social media. The star defended her decision in a cryptic tweet Tuesday, writing, "Damned if I do, damned if I don't. So I might as well do what I want," but specifically denied getting butt implants.

Marroquin showed his support for Lowry by tweeting, "Whatever is going to make her happy then I ride with her feel better babe." He also responded to one social media user's criticism by saying, "Our kids are good, don't you worry."

Lowry and Marroquin married in September 2013, and share 2-year-old son Lincoln. The reality star is also mom to 6-year-old son Isaac, whom she welcomed with then-boyfriend Jo Rivera in January 2010. The star's first pregnancy was documented on 16 & Pregnant.

Lowry is not the only Teen Mom star to undergo the knife; Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham had a third surgery on her breasts in October. The 24-year-old reality star recently made headlines after trading insults with rapper Nicki Minaj on Twitter.
