Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' sets record as fastest video on Vevo to reach 1B views

OTTAWA, July 7 (UPI) -- Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" video has hit 1 billion views on Vevo and is now the fastest video to reach the milestone number.

The singer released the video for the hit song back in November, and in just eight months the clip has garnered a billion views.

Swift shared her excitement with her Twitter followers on Monday, writing: "The Blank Space video just became the fastest to hit 1 billion views on Vevo, Bad Blood is #1 at pop radio for a 3rd week. THANKS GUYS!!!"

Calvin Harris' main squeeze spent the weekend celebrating Fourth of July with a group of famous faces, including Gigi Hadid, Joe Jonas, Ed Sheeran and many more. She kicked back her 1989 World Tour on Monday in Ottawa, Canada.
