LONDON, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- The duke and duchess of Cambridge took their 17-month-old son Prince George to visit Santa Claus in Thusford, Norfolk Saturday.

People magazine reports Prince William and Kate Middleton stood line like the rest of the commoners who visited the Santa's Magical Journey display.

"There was no special treatment for them," General Manager Geraldine Rye said. "They walked through like everyone else. People were just happy to see them, like all the other families enjoying the experience."

The royals reportedly spent about 45 in the facility, which also features penguins, plat bears, giant-size teddy bears and gift-wrapping elves.

"Like all the children, George was excited by what he saw and excited to meet Santa," added Rye.

And like all the children the prince walked away with a wooden toy train.

Prince William and Middleton are spending the holidays in their country home, Anmer Hall, and are expected to join the rest of the British monarchy for the walk to church service on Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham estate on Christmas day.
