Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas buy Bedford colonial for $11.25M

The couple recently sold their 6,600 square-foot home, also in Bedford, N.Y., for $7.9 million.

BEDFORD, N.Y., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Catherine Zeta-Jones and husband Michael Douglas have purchased a new home for $11.25 million.

The Colonial-style estate is located in Bedford, N.Y., and was built in 1895. The house sits on 13.28 acres, and includes 15,458 square feet of living space.

The home features eight bedrooms and 13.5 bathrooms, with two indoor pools, spa facilities, a gym, sauna and steam room. In addition, the property boasts an outdoor pool, greenhouse, tennis court, guest cottage with two apartments, a four-stall barn, four paddocks and equestrian trails.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas recently sold the 6,600 square foot Bedford colonial where the actress lived during their separation. The couple listed the home for $8.1 million in August, and sold the property for $7.9 million this month.

Zeta-Jones and Douglas have been married since November 2000, and have two children together, Dylan and Carys. The actress will appear in Dad's Army and The Godmother in 2015, while Douglas is scheduled for Marvel film Ant-Man.
