Jason Aldean engaged to once-mistress Brittany Kerr

Aldean was married to his high school sweetheart Jessica Ussery when pictures of him kissing Kerr came out in 2012.

SAN DIEGO, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Country music star Jason Aldean and his girlfriend Brittany Kerr are engaged.

TMZ reports Aldean proposed to his once-mistress during the West Coast leg of his current tour. The singer reportedly arranged a private tour of the San Diego Zoo Wednesday to propose.

Aldean was married to his high school sweetheart Jessica Ussery when pictures of him kissing Kerr the former American Idol contestant came out in September of 2012.

The singer and Ussery separated and filed for divorce in April 2013. Aldean began officially dating Kerr in March of this year and told Billboard in September people need to "get over" the way things started between them.
