LOS ANGELES, Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Vin Diesel has released a pair of new photos from the set of Fast & Furious 7, including one with late co-star Paul Walker.

"We all went above and beyond to make Pablo proud," Diesel wrote on Facebook, using his affectionate nickname for his deceased colleague and friend, adding wrapping has proved an "emotional and bittersweet" experience.

"But man, I wish he could see what we have created and just how far we have come."

Diesel also said that the yet-unreleased trailer is "incredible" and left him "speechless."

Walker's character, Brian O'Conner, was written into retirement and out of the popular franchise following his sudden death in November 2013. Remaining scenes, establishing shots and b-roll were shot using Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb.

Fast & Furious 7 opens in the U.S. on April 10, 2015.
