LOS ANGELES, July 9 (UPI) -- Katy Perry's latest bold move involves the singer posing as a medieval heroine in an animated spot advertising her newest fragrance.

The video, which hawks Killer Queen's Royal Revolution perfume, is about 2 minutes long and features the singer as a kick-butt savior.

In the ad, the masked heroine infiltrates a castle to rescue a group of first-born daughters who are being transformed into mindless look-alikes by a piece of technology that certainly didn't exist during medieval times.

She's able to knock out her would-be captors with a quick spray of perfume -- is that supposed to be a selling point? -- and save herself and the other first-born daughters.

Killer Queen's Royal Revolution, which is sold in a blue, gem-shaped bottle, has top notes of pink freesia and red pomegranate, middle notes of sandalwood, orange flower and jasmine, and bottom notes of mystical blackthorn and vanilla orchid.
