Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys fuel romance rumors with New York theater date

Keri Russell announced her separation from husband Shane Deary last December, and has spent months dodging rumors of a romance with her Americans co-star, Matthew Rhys.

Eyewitnesses told People that they saw Russell and Rhys catching a Steven Soderbergh-directed play, The Library, at New York City's The Public Theater on Thursday.

Rhys, who reportedly stroked Russell's hair, told the mag last month that he "loves" the rumor.

"That is the best one I love," the 39-year-old actor said at the time, noting that he has to remind his mother that online rumors about him aren't true.

Sources told the New York Post last December that they had seen Russell and Rhys acting "touchy-feely" at a Manhattan eatery.

“Seeing the way they are together I could have sworn they were a couple," a witness said. "They were so touchy-feely, drinking and laughing.”
