Lady Gaga discussed submissiveness in her relationship and her latest music video during an interview on Monday. The 27-year-old star appeared on Sirius XM's The Morning Mash Up radio show and surprised listeners with her admission that she is submissive to boyfriend Taylor Kinney.

Kinney is an actor who stars in the TV series Chicago Fire, and the couple have been dating since 2011. Lady Gaga said of her beau, "Oh yeah, he's, like totally in charge."
"When I'm home I'm like, shoes are off, I'm making him dinner, you know?" the singer said. "He has a job, too, and he's really busy. I'm in charge all day long. The last thing I wanna do is tell him what to do."
"It's not good for relationships to tell men what to do, female listeners who are out there," the star asserted.
Lady Gaga also discussed themes of submission in her latest music video that debuted on Saturday. The video is for her song "G.U.Y.," which stands for "Girl Under You." The lengthy video displays the singer as a broken angel, features cameos from Andy Cohen and Kim Richards and other Real Housewives, and contains plenty of dance breakdowns.
The singer says of the song's title, "In the second scene, it's the girl under you in a more kind of sexual and submissive way... Then at the end of the video, it's really about the ultimate power that women can feel in being on the bottom."
"Sometimes it's nice to not have to be in charge all the time," Lady Gaga said. "It's okay to let other people take charge as long as you're smart and cunning and have your wits about you."
