LOS ANGELES, March 7 (UPI) -- Renee Zellweger seems set to make her return to film in the upcoming movie The Whole Truth.

Zellweger is reportedly in negotiation to star alongside Daniel Craig, who will play a district attorney in the courtroom drama. The role would be her first in four years.

Well-known for 1996's Jerry Maguire and 2001's Bridget Jones's Diary, Zellweger received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Roxie Hart in 2002's Chicago and won Best Supporting Actress the next year for her role as Ruby Thewes in Cold Mountain. It has been hard for the actress to replicate the success of said films since, despite a long and celebrated career. The 44-year-old star last appeared as Jane Wyatt in 2010's My Own Love Song.

The Whole Truth is currently in development, but will be directed by Courtney Hunt (Frozen River) and written by Nicholas Kazan (Matilda, Bicentennial Man).
