HEIDI KLUM: Supermodel and TV personality Heidi Klum has signed on to be a fourth judge on the reality competition show "America's Got Talent," NBC confirmed Monday.

Auditions for the new season were to start Monday in New Orleans.

Once the contestants are gathered from tryouts across the country they will compete at the show's studio in New York for the $1 million prize.

The other judges on the "AGT" panel are Howie Mandel, Howard Stern and Mel B. Sharon Osbourne quit as judge at the end of last season.

"Heidi has an amazing career across multiple media platforms, and has built a brand that is a force in the entertainment business," Paul Telegdy, NBC's president of alternative and late night programming, said in a statement Monday.

"She has achieved superstardom while balancing being a businesswoman and hard-working mom, bringing a huge amount of experience, discernment and taste to the panel. As we look to develop an act that will get the world's attention, we and the contestants will benefit from Heidi's international sensibility and understanding of what works in today's global entertainment industry."

"Heidi Klum brings huge experience to 'America's Got Talent' from her background as a model, designer, actress, TV host, producer, and successful businesswoman. She knows what it takes to be a successful entertainer," said executive producer Trish Kinane. "We warmly welcome her to Season 8 alongside Howie, Howard and Mel B."


MADONNA: Pop star Madonna is to present journalist, author and talk-show host Anderson Cooper with the Vito Russo Award at the GLAAD Media Awards in New York.

The 24th annual event is to take place at the New York Marriot Marquis.

Cooper and Madonna are longtime friends who have both used their careers to raise support for LGBT people around the globe, organizers said in a news release.

The Vito Russo Award is presented to an openly lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equality.

"Madonna has been a passionate spokesperson and longtime supporter of gay rights. She has embraced LGBT people around the world on many occasions," GLAAD President Herndon Graddick said in a statement Saturday. "From speaking out against bullying to raising support for marriage equality, Madonna has always been one of our community's strongest allies. We are honored to have her stand with GLAAD and Anderson Cooper.

"By sharing his own experiences as a gay man, Anderson has reminded millions of Americans that LGBT people are part of their everyday lives and an integral part of our cultural fabric. He continues to raise the bar and set a new standard for journalists everywhere, and I'm proud to call him a friend."

"Good Morning America" anchors Lara Spencer, Josh Elliott and Sam Champion are to be hosts of the ceremony.


REGIS PHILBIN: Regis Philbin confirmed on "The View" in New York Monday he will serve as anchor of a new Fox sports program.

Asked if he is planning a return to television, Philbin, 81, replied, "Yeah, I think I will be doing another show."

"It hasn't been announced yet, and everybody gets mad," Philbin said when pressed for details.

"It hasn't been announced yet Oh, please, really? Fox. Fox is starting a sports channel. Everybody's starting a sports channel where it's nothing but 24 hours of sports. ESPN has been dynamite. So, everybody -- NBC, CBS -- everybody has got to have their own sports channel. So, Regis is going to have his own show on that."

Philbin left the morning chat program "Live! with Regis & Kelly" in November 2011, reportedly after a salary dispute.


JADEN SMITH: U.S. actor Jaden Smith, 14, is dating reality TV personality Kylie Jenner, 15, UsMagazine.com reported Monday.

"They're dating," a source told the celebrity magazine. "It's new, but they've been friends forever."

Smith will soon be seen in the movie "After Earth" with his father, actor Will Smith. His mother is actress Jada Pinkett-Smith.

Jenner is the daughter of Olympian Bruce Jenner and businesswoman Kris Jenner. She is the half-sister of the Kardashians.
