Turtleneck sales spike after Jobs' death

NEW YORK, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- The U.S. sale of mock turtleneck shirts like the ones Steve Jobs frequently wore increased dramatically Thursday following the Apple founder's death.

Jobs died Wednesday of cancer at the age of 56.

A representative for the St. Croix clothing company, which sells Jobs' favored garment, told TMZ it saw "almost 100 percent increase in sales" since the news of his death broke.

"We have a great respect for everything he did and we're glad he believed in our American-made product," the publicist told TMZ.
