OCTOMOM: The California Medical Board says it will revoke the license of the Beverly Hills fertility doctor who helped "Octomom" Nadya Suleman conceive eight children.

A six-person panel of the board ruled Dr. Michael Kamrava "did not exercise sound judgment" when he performed the embryo transfer in July 2008 on Suleman, a single mother of six existing children, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.

American Society of Reproductive Medicine guidelines say doctors should not normally implant more than two embryos in women under age 35, and no more than five embryos in women over 40.

Suleman was 33 when she gave birth to the octuplets.

Revoking a physician's license is uncommon in California. In the last fiscal year, the medical board revoked just nine for gross negligence, defined as the "want of even scant care or an extreme departure from the ordinary standard of conduct."

Unless Kamrava can successfully appeal his license revocation through the California court system, the revocation will mark the end of his medical career in the state, the Times reported.

Dr. Arthur Wisot, a fertility specialist in Redondo Beach, said the license revocation may discourage doctors who might be tempted to implant more than the recommended number of embryos.

"That's a good outcome," he said.

AMY WINEHOUSE: British soul singer Amy Winehouse has left a London rehab after completing a week of treatment for alcohol addiction, her spokesman said.

The 27-year-old Grammy Award-winner has been largely absent from the public eye in recent years while she battled addictions to drugs and alcohol.

She is expected to return to the spotlight this month with a string of European concerts.

Britain's Mail Online said Winehouse downed a miniature bottle of vodka on her way to check in to the southwest London branch of the Priory Clinic, where she was working to get her drinking under control.

"Amy Winehouse has completed her assessment at the Priory Clinic in London and will continue as an outpatient," the Web site quoted Winehouse's spokesman as saying. "She is now looking forward to playing shows around Europe this summer and is raring to go. She would like to send a huge thanks to all her fans for the messages of support she has received over the last week and can't wait to see them."

LANCE ARMSTRONG: CBS News says it will not retract or apologize for a "60 Minutes" story that linked U.S. cycling champion Lance Armstrong to performance-enhancing drugs.

In a statement released Wednesday, the network described the story as "truthful, accurate and fair."

"Lance Armstrong and his lawyers were given numerous opportunities to respond to every detail of our reporting for weeks prior to the broadcast and their written responses were fairly and accurately included in the story," the network said. "Mr. Armstrong still has not addressed charges by teammates Tyler Hamilton and George Hincapie that he used performance-enhancing drugs with them."

Jeff Fager, the chairman of CBS News, said the network found at least three mistakes in a letter from Keker & Van Nest, the high-powered San Francisco firm representing Armstrong.

Armstrong won the Tour de France a record seven consecutive times. It was especially remarkable because his career was interrupted by treatment for testicular cancer before his first Tour victory.

"We're delighted to have Jane Lynch host the Primetime Emmys this year," John Shaffner, chairman and chief executive officer of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, said in a statement Thursday. "When our host has comedic, dramatic and musical talents -- as Jane proved in last year's opening number -- we know it's going to be fun for us and for the audience at home!"

"Jane was my first -- and only -- choice as the host for this year's Primetime Emmys, and I am glad she said 'yes,'" added executive producer Mark Burnett.

"I am tickled pink to be hosting the Primetime Emmys on Fox," said Lynch. "I'm looking forward to singing, dancing and sporting my finest tracksuit."

Emmy nominations are to be announced July 14.

Lynch won an Emmy last year for her work on "Glee."

Her film credits include "Julie & Julia," "Shrek Forever After," "Role Models," "Alvin and the Chipmunks," "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," "The 40 Year Old Virgin," "Sleepover" and "Surviving Eden."

She also appeared in Christopher Guest's movies "For Your Consideration," "A Mighty Wind" and "Best in Show."
