Invitations to royal wedding sent out

LONDON, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Britain's royal family says 1,900 invitations to Prince William's April wedding to Kate Middleton have been delivered.

The not-so-intimate April 29 ceremony at Westminster Abby will include world leaders, international royalty, members of the prince's military unit and about 100 members of the public.

Not on the list is Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew who had a falling out in the 1980s with William's mother, Princess Diana. The Sun said Sunday Fergie had not expected an invitation and will be out of the country on the big day.

St. James Palace told The Daily Telegraph guests were asked to deck themselves out in morning coats, lounge suits or dress military uniforms.

The newspaper also said there would be separate guests lists for the smaller wedding reception at Buckingham Palace and an even smaller dinner hosted by the Prince of Wales, if 300 people can be considered small.
