Saatchi donating gallery to British public

LONDON, July 1 (UPI) -- Art collector Charles Saatchi says he plans to donate his London gallery and 200 works worth an estimated $38 million to the British public.

The Guardian reported the 70,000-square-foot gallery in Chelsea is to be renamed Museum of Contemporary Art, London when the 67-year-old former advertising executive retires. The date of his retirement has not yet been announced.
