LONDON, April 7 (UPI) -- The stage musical "Mamma Mia!" celebrated its 10th anniversary in London's West End Monday night.
The London production of Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus' show, which features more than a dozen hits from the ABBA songbook, has played at least 4,000 performances and been seen by more than 5 million people.
The Broadway production in New York is in its eighth year and has had at least 3,000 performances.
An international tour has visited more than 40 cities and the blockbuster feature film adaptation, produced by Judy Craymer and Gary Goetzman, is the most successful movie musical of all time, grossing $600 million worldwide, representatives for the show said in a news release.
