Rourke to attend 'WrestleMania'

HOUSTON, April 2 (UPI) -- Mickey Rourke, who earned an Oscar nod for his portrayal of a pro grappler in "The Wrestler," is to attend a WrestleMania show in Houston, organizers said.

The "9 1/2 Weeks," "Barfly" and "Johnny Handsome" star is slated to make an appearance at Sunday's 25th anniversary celebration of WrestleMania at Reliant Stadium.

Also expected to attend are Carl Edwards, Evander Holyfield, Michael Clarke Duncan, Chester Pitts, Chris Myers, Eric Winston, Mario Williams and Travis Johnson.

Kid Rock has been booked to perform a medley of his hit songs, including "Cowboy," "Bawitdaba," "Rock N Roll Jesus" and "So Hott," and Nicole Scherzinger is scheduled to open the show by singing "America the Beautiful," organizers said.
