NEW YORK, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Maggie Grace says she hasn't ruled out a return to "Lost" just because her character was killed on the supernatural show three seasons ago.

Several actors whose characters have perished on the island adventure series have later made special appearances. Asked if she might be one of them some day, Grace told reporters in New York recently, "Who knows?"

Pressed to discuss whether she still watches the show, Grace explained: "For me, it's kind of like watching a moving yearbook. It's not the same suspension of disbelief. No matter how well-written it is, it's more like: 'So and so had to kiss so and so? Oh!' It's sort of like if all your best friends had to suddenly kiss. You can't just imagine it as a TV show in the same way."

Grace was also asked why so many cast members have racked up penalties for driving infractions on the Hawaiian island of Oahu where "Lost" is shot.

"It's a small island," she noted. "In their defense, we were filming out in these pineapple fields in the middle of the North Shore and I think the speed limit is about 12, so most of the guys on the show aren't really compatible with the speed limit of 12. Not that I'm saying it's OK to break the law. But it's a pineapple field, so you can see how that logic takes over."

Grace, who played Sayid's love interest Shannon on "Lost," will be seen starting Friday in the new big-screen thriller "Taken."
