LOS ANGELES, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- An autopsy will be conducted on the body of John Travolta's son in the Bahamas before being flown to Florida for burial, lawyers for the actor said Saturday.

Michael McDermott and Michael Ossi joined Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, in the Bahamas after the death of Jett Travolta, TZM.com reported. They said the autopsy is scheduled Monday morning.

Jeff Kathrein, a nanny for the Travoltas, found the body of Jett, 16, in the bathroom Friday morning. The lawyers said the teenager hit his head on the bathtub or sink.

They also said the police version of the death -- that Jett was last seen hours before his body was discovered -- is untrue. They said Jett collapsed shortly before Kathrein found him.

Two nannies were with the family at their vacation home, the lawyers said. Jett, who suffered from seizures, also had a baby monitor.

Jett's parents are suffering from "unimaginable and unquantifiable" pain, McDermott said.
