LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Breast cancer survivor Christina Applegate is to be one of the presenters at "The 60th Primetime Emmy Awards" in Los Angeles, ABC said Thursday.

The Emmy Award-winning actress, who has starred on the sit-coms "Married with Children" and "Samantha Who," reportedly underwent a double mastectomy last month in her battle against the disease.

She is to join her fellow TV stars Candice Bergen, David Boreanaz, Wayne Brady, Lauren Conrad, Jimmy Kimmel and Kiefer Sutherland as a presenter at the Sept. 21 awards ceremony, which will broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

"We are thrilled to announce another great group of presenters for the telecast," Executive Producer Ken Ehrlich said in a statement Thursday. "Each will bring something exciting to the show, and the lineup promises to make the evening a night to remember."
