DENVER, July 12 (UPI) -- CNN's so-called "multi-touch" computerized media wall will be on hand at this year's Democratic and Republican national conventions, the U.S. network says.

CNN political correspondent John King said a smaller version of the high-tech wall will be used during the political events, which will take place in Denver and St. Paul, Minn., respectively, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

"It's a smaller version of the wall and more portable," King said. "It's got all the same remarkable technology and capability, just a little smaller so we can use it on our anchor locations."

The news network used the "multi-touch" wall during the presidential primary elections to show a wide range of running vote tallies among candidates through simple touches on the big screen.

King said the reduced version of the wall will be programmed to show the electoral map of the United States, along with any other information event planners deem necessary.

"Some of it is to be determined based on what the story lines are," King said, referring to the Democrats' August event and the September convention for the Republican Party.
