LOS ANGELES, May 19 (UPI) -- Former "Melrose Place" resident Rob Estes will star in the new version of the 1990s teen soap "Beverly Hills, 90210," a trade publication said.

Estes, who played Kyle McBride on "Melrose" a decade ago, will play Harry Mills on the new "90210," The Hollywood Reporter said.

Mills is a West Beverly High alum who moves to Kansas after graduation then returns to his former stomping grounds as the school's principal when his mother needs his help.

Like the original series, the new "90210" will feature Midwest-raised teenagers, Mills's children, learning to navigate the Beverly Hills social scene.

Estes was most recently seen in the TV series "Women's Murder Club."
