Rapper Common to co-star in 'Terminator'

LOS ANGELES, May 6 (UPI) -- U.S. rapper Common reportedly has landed a role in the upcoming sci-fi action flick "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins."

Common has also acted in "Smokin' Aces" and "American Gangster" and will soon be seen in "Wanted."

Variety.com said the rapper has joined the "Terminator" cast, which includes

Christian Bale and Sam Worthington.

The fourth film in the "Terminator" franchise is set for theatrical release May 22, 2009. It is being directed by McG, who previously directed "Charlie's Angels" and "We Are Marshall."
