DANCING WITH THE STARS 2007 TOUR

NEW YORK, April 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. boy band New Kids on the Block is scheduled to make its first public appearance in 15 years on the "Today" morning program.

Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood and Jordan and Jonathan Knight -- the five original members of the band that sold more than 80 million albums -- are to appear in a live segment on Friday's show to make a "special announcement," NBC said Thursday.

The once wildly popular 1990s-era pop group is also slated to perform in concert May 16 as part of the "Today" summer concert lineup, the network said.

The concert will be the group's first since it split up in 1994.
