CHICAGO, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Hollywood actress Halle Berry said she took dozens of pregnancy tests before one finally revealed she was going to have a baby.

Berry talked on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" about having her first child with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.

"I'm sort of superstitious, so I saved all of the negative tests in a drawer. Don't ask! I don't know why, but I did. After about 35 tests, we finally got a positive test," Berry said.

Asked if she knows whether the baby will be a boy or a girl, Berry replied: "There's so few genuine surprises in life anymore that, why not have a huge surprise? And I like fantasizing one day it's a girl, one day it's a boy."

Berry confessed she is already thinking about a second child.

"We're hoping, right after this one, to do it again."

Although Berry said she is in love with Aubry, the twice-divorced actress has also maintained that she does not want to marry again.

"I feel more married, in a way, than I ever have in two marriages before. (Aubry) really understands the spiritual connection is so much more important than the paper and the pomp and circumstance."
