NEW YORK, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- The new U.S. superhero, Feedback, will have his first small-screen film adventure in the made-for-TV movie, “Mega Snake,” the Sci Fi Channel has announced.
The Sci Fi Saturday Night Original movie, which is set to premiere Aug. 25, will feature an appearance by Feedback, played by New Mexico's Matthew Atherton, the first-season winner of the channel’s reality series, “Who Wants to be a Superhero?”
Starring “Stargate SG-1” actor Michael Shanks, “Mega Snake” is about a quick-growing serpent with supernatural powers unwittingly unleashed upon the residents of a small town.
Feedback will appear in a scene in which the colossal reptile threatens a group of children at a carnival.
“Who Wants to be a Superhero?” challenges contestants to create their own superheroes and is now in its second season.
It is hosted by legendary comic-book author Stan Lee.
The winner of the competition will be immortalized in a new offering created by Lee for Dark Horse Comics, as well as featured in a Sci Fi Channel original movie.
