NEW YORK, June 8 (UPI) -- Nathan Lane has agreed to play the lead in "November," a political comedy by David Mamet scheduled to preview on New York's Broadway in December.
Lane agreed to play the fictional President Charles Smith in the show, which chronicles a day in the life of a besieged commander-in-chief.
Joe Mantello will direct the world premiere, Variety reported Friday. He previously directed the Tony-winning revival of Mamet's "Glengarry Glen Ross" and directed Lane in "The Odd Couple" and "Love! Valour! Compassion!"
