Sheryl Crow adopts baby boy

LOS ANGELES, May 12 (UPI) -- U.S. singer Sheryl Crow has adopted a 2-week-old boy and named him Wyatt Steven Crow.

Crow said Wyatt is for her father and Steven came from both her younger brother, Steven Crow, and manager, Steven "Scooter" Weintraub, People Magazine reported Saturday.

"We are enjoying some very private family time," Crow posted on her Web site.

Crow, 45, recently wrapped up her "Stop Global Warming" college tour, in which she and "An Inconvenient Truth" producer Laurie David visited 11 colleges via a vegetable oil-powered bus to teach students about global warming.

But now, "she's just going to take some time off to be a mom," her rep told People.

Crow split from cycling champ Lance Armstrong in February 2006 and was diagnosed with breast cancer the same month.

Now that she is single, Crow has been quoted as saying she's "looking for a cowboy."
